Here's something I don't get a chance to do very often; a more realistic illustration using charcoal. This was a charity piece done for the Face of Compassion art exhibition held in Sydney recently, and is an interpretation of a photograph taken by Katrina Gulbrandsen, used by permission. I love that you don't see their mouths, so the smiles are all in the eyes.
I've been doing the inks and colouring for a comic book project which I think has a huge amount of potential to be a hit. it's called DISCIPLE 6, and it's the brainchild of Matthew Rodriguez. You can find out more about it here: http://ideasfrommars.blogspot.com Here's two pictures I've done for it so far, penciled by Andy Budnick, inked and coloured by me. Hope you likes!
